A Book And A Mirror - 3
I continued walking, while he walked behind me without stopping, and the situation continued for an hour… two hours… and I was tired of walking. and felt the donkey’s head touching my back.
I looked at him, and saw him turning around himself and siitting to face me. and he exhaled the air from his nose in my face… I didn’t understand anything.
I was about to turn around to continue on my way, when the donkey put his head between my feet, lefted me up, placed me on his back, and started walking. I was surprised. and didn’t try to get off, because I was tired…
The donkey walked for a while, and I stopped him in front of a lake, and got off him, so we could drink.
I looked again at the donkey, and found that he was carrying bags made of straw. I opened them, and saw a water bottle and some bread.
I closed this bag, and went to open the other one, and found straw aren’t dry yet.
‘Is this your food?’
The donkey gently moved my hand away, ate some straw, closed the bag, and rested his head.
It seems that he don’t want me to interfere, and peek at this bag, and to be sure. I tried to open it, but he gently prevented me again.
so I moved away from the bag, and sat next to the donkey.
while passed. and we took a nap, before we continued walking, we filled up the bottle, and continued on our way.
I didn’t want him to carry a lot of things so he wouldn’t get tired quickly, so I wanted to take the bag of bread and water, but he stopped me. and was running around me in circles, and touching my back with his head again.
Maybe he wanted me to ride on top of him?, But I can’t, he’s not my donkey. so I hugged him and patted his head, and we continued walking.
night came, and I had placed a lot of colored leaves (not dry) on the ground for me and the donkey, so that we could sleep.
I had lit a fire using one of the old methods for lighting fires.
then heated the bread and ate it, and gave some to the donkey, as a diversification on the straw he eats. and helped the donkey drink water, and I drink in turn, and we went to sleep.
I did ask myself, where did this donkey come from, and why is he following me?, and why do I treat him kindly?. I entrusted the command why I treat him with kindness, to the fact that he has things that I need, but as for why does he follows me… I don’t know why.
I didn’t got used to animals treating me with kindness.
I woke up to someone shaking me. I looked at this person, and from his clothes, he seems a villager. he broke me from my thoughts saying,
“What are you doing here?. Are you lost?”
“Mmm yes, you can say that” *sits down and rubs his eyes*
“Where are you headed?”
“To the Kingdom. I want to get a job there. (lets lie, there’s no harm in that)”
I looked behind him, and found a cart. and there was one other person inside who seemed to be arranging the cart.
I turned my gaze towards the person in front of me, from his face I can say he is in his twenties, his hair was orange and his eyes were blue, yes. Of course, if trees are colorful, then what about people?.
“Okay, you can ride in our cart if you want. we are heading to a place near the Kingdom.”
“Really, sir?. Thank you very much!”
“It’s okay. but where did you come from?”
“I… I don’t know, because I fell and forgot where I came from.”
“You mean, you don’t remember who you are?.”
“I remember myself, but… I don’t know, I just forgot, so I said that I will go to the kingdom and work there until I remember (I have to go there, maybe I can find the mirror or this black thing. I want to go home).”
“Okay, come with us then.”
“W-What about my donkey?”
“It’s okay, the donkey can come with us too.”
“Haha, thank you.”
Accordingly, I went up with them, and we continued the way until it was midnight.
camping was really awesome too!. and eating while chating, it was really nice.
he informed me that tomorrow at noon we would have reached our crossroads, and that I need to walk another night, and I would have arrived there, by the second day in the afternoon.
